How is the done?

I was looking through the WWP and saw a couple shots like this. How is this done. I know out the window, but how do you get the in mid air effect and how did he do the shot of him sitting in the chair? The lightning is a nice touch also.
There are alot of cliffs overlooking the lake in my area and I would like to try this technique.

Look at the answer of the photographer himself: below the panorama is a link "Behind the scene: how this panorama was made". Everybody can do it but it's hard work!

Last week we experimented doing this type of Over The Edge Panorama.  Here is our Tutorial on the technique. 

However, I do not think Panoweaver can stitch this type of panorama.
